The National Information Technology Award in the "Government and Citizen Service" category was given to Coptronic Infosystems Ltd., a well-known IT company in the country, for providing online services to nearly one crore students, lakhs of teachers and people of various professions through the automation of education board. On behalf of Copotronic, the BASIS National Award Authority presented the award to Mr. Md. Imrul Islam Chowdhury Emon, the founder and managing director of the company.
Mr. Tipu Munshi, MP, Hon'ble Minister of Commerce of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh was present as the chief guest at the award ceremony organized by BASIS on 27th June, 2021 and Mr. Junaid Ahmed Palak, MP, Hon'ble State Minister of Information and Communication Technology was present as a special guest. BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir presided over the event.
In this regard, the Chief Operating Officer of Copotronic Infosystems Limited - Mr. Md. Anisul Islam said, Copotronic has been providing IT services to various public and private organizations and people of various professions with reputation and expertise for the past 12 years. He thanked BASIS and National ICT Committee for awarding CISL with BASIS National ICT Award-2020 in recognition of this service and thanked all the members of Copotronic, he said that this achievement will undoubtedly give CISL more importance in future creative activities. Will motivate to play a full role.
BASIS National ICT Awards by awarding BASIS selects and encourages innovative and promising IT projects of individuals, students, entrepreneurs, SMEs and IT institutions of Bangladesh to build Digital Bangladesh. This year 59 awards were given in 36 categories.
